While planning my first solar system I'm also thinking about what can go wrong. In the event of a power outage AND an inverter problem I'd like the ability to run some lights directly from the 48v rack batteries. So I hopped on Amazon and started searching for 48v LED lights. I found these below that look like they'd fit the bill.

Having flashlights is handy if you remember to have batteries or keep them charged, but having a light that can run 48v direct would be even better IMO. I'll either wire them directly or put some alligator clips on them - through fused lines of course. Has anyone else worked on some type of solar room lighting that can be powered directly from the battery racks? Am I searching for a solution to a problem that will never happen? Thanks.

there are plenty of vehicle style lights that are 48v

mount them and put them on a automotive style switch.

problems with "light bulb" style (medium base) is that you can mistake them for not-48v and screw them into reg 120Vac socket.

This claims 10v-60v
I have some old light bars somewhere, thanks for the idea.

Funny story.
Many years ago I had my guys install a bunch of temporary lights on a jobsite. (Over 100)
The supply house mistakenly sent out 12v bulbs.
It was all done and ready before the temporary service was energized.
When I threw the breaker on, we all needed new shorts. lol

Pesky zeros. They don't mean anything anyway!?

I prefer the COB style LED strips for uniform light. Here's 65 feet of 48v for $75ish. Has sticky tape back so just put it where you want. https://www.amazon.com/Flexible-Commercial-Shopping-Restaurant-Included/dp/B0BGHXVNV6/
Good point on the COB, I wired some strips into the reverse circuit of my quad; night and day difference.

Here's a puck rated for 60v but appears to ship from China.

You could also get a step down buck converter to 12V. That opens up the number of possibilities for these lights, as the automotive light bars are often built to be run off 12v car batteries.
