4S or 8S BMS?

The best way to reduce current is to run at higher voltage. 4000 Watts at 24 volts is 167 Amps versus 333 Amps at 12 volts. What is your actual load going to be? Is it likely to be 4000 Watts?
My Inverter (Conext SW 4024) is rated for 4000 watts at 24v. I built my system for that load, 167amps. I used 4/0 awg cable for the main connect and have a 200amp breaker. I normally run at less than 1000 watts, but if I turn on the water heater, that adds another 1150 watts. I probably never run over 3000 watts for any length of time. But I do have a 240v well pump connected to the system. It runs at 7 amps, BUT start up would probably kick it up a good bit.

I had thought about building a single 8s 280ah battery bank, but am finding it difficult to locate a 150-200 amp BMS. A Smart Dely comes to mind and I would go the 300 amp version, but those do not seem popluar on the forum. So I am considering a 8s2p of 280ah cells and using 2 of the OKS 82 100amp BMS one on each string for 200 amp out.

BMS system I have looked at:
Daly 300amp
Chargery with a Contactor
Heltec but they are not Bluetooth connect (from what I see)
Overkill Solar but I would need to at 100amp each
or the Simple Smart with BT for 200amps (which I think looks suspiciously like the Daly)

I will hardly every need 150-200 amp service, but because the inverter is capable of it, I'd like to know it is there if I do need it.

In the same position as you. I have 2 MPP Solar inverters running split phase with a total possible wattage of 4800 (not that I would push them like that. ) I have a single battery bank comprised of 2S/3P Lion energy batteries(285 ah). Basically limited to the BMS on the post of the battery I'm connecting to. (150amps) I'm also building a Lishen 8S pack(272ah) and will connect Both banks to a bus bar to share the load. Given no better alternative, I'll end up with the Overkill 8s/100AMP BMS.
