I have 3 units installed and all 6 strings almost max out but im clipping at140 amps! And all three bypass to grid if load goes over 6000 watts. Tech support is buzy.

140 amps is the maximum charge current (Utility + Solar) on the 6000xp. See setting 6 on the LCD screen. Any additional power above that will just go to the loads or be "clipped".

If you are using closed loop communications with the batteries. The BMS's are in charge of charging. They are probably limiting the charging.

Tech on fri put the system on lead acid and its running off voltage....but i have 7 lifepower and a 14 kwh 280 ah 48 volt pack added also another 200ah battery.....

That does seem odd. I would go through all settings on all 3 units. To see if something is off.

Maybe that's all that the solar can produce?
Can you add loads to see if it increases solar production?

Yes you see the graph it spikes up with the demand....i have 50 panels across the system its clipping all inverters together at 140amp

I understand that you have all three units set to 140a.
But are all three set to allow solar charging?

But does that setting control all 3?
I don't know, if they can be set individually. Or if they act as one.
Hmmm - the printed manual under Parallel Settings on page 23 says "Charge Current Limit (Adc): The maximum charge current limitation of the entire system in DC Amps.", which implies the limitation for the whole set. The Charge Current Limit(Adc) field on the EG4 portal shows "[0, 140/4480]" as the available range, which seems like you should be able to set 3*140 (420) on the master and that would be for the whole set. Weird it won't let you configure it for more than that.

BTW - it also references a "Battery Shared" setting that should be enabled if they are all connected to the same battery bank. @parkerd I assume you have them all connected in parallel to the same bank and that setting is enabled...

Yes ill look again....but its in lead acid right now because im dealing with comm
