AIC Series Rating Question

Hopefully I am asking this as simply as it gets so there is no confusion and tangents to go off on.

Does the Ampere Interrupting Capacity (AIC) increase or stay the same with two fuses in series? I am not asking about carrying capacity or anything else. Just if two fuses in series have a higher interrupt capability for better DC protection.

It's the individual fuse not additive.
