Hello all,

I've been working on converting a (2010 4x4 F350 Type 1) ambulance into an overland RV. About 80% done (as of December 2021). At the same time, I've been writing a DYI manual to help others do the same.

Will's videos and book have been a tremendous help AND inspiration. I'm following in his footsteps by writing a Ambulance to RV Conversion Manual. Hopefully finished by March 2022. It will have a small section on solar and links to this amazing forum and his book.

Just wanted to introduce myself and say thanks to all the great builds and info I've found here. I'd be happy to answer any ambulance related questions and contribute to this community.

(Belated) Welcome.
I love the look of your ambulance! The retro paintjob, the clean / solar maximized roof, what looks like a nice open floorplan. Nice job!
What's the B2B length?
Do you have a build thread anywhere? (would love to see more interior pics)

great build, watch out for those battery laying on the side, when you on the road and many vibration may cause electrolyte leaking... not gona be fun to clean up after

They are lithiums from BattleBorn. They are like the batteries in your phone. No liquid to leak, they can be mounted in any position, even upside down.

BUT! to minimize vibration, they are mounted in dense neoprene where they touch the walls and shelf.

Hello Dzl,

Thanks. It's been a labor of love. B2B is approx 26ft. I have hundreds of pics I took during the build, and even though I am rebuilding the forums at www.AmboRV.com, I have not started a thread. This is because I've been writing the book for the past 9 months. It's taken up every spare moment I have. Here are some interior pics taken on our first test trip. It's also about 80% done. Upper cabinets, staining the wood, a cabover to store all linens / soft good, fans, etc.

You are right my bad, I forgot Battleborn use those round cells not Prismatic brick or similar cells.
