Hello,
Rookie on this website. Thanks Will for all the detailed videos and instruction, saving everyone a lot of time. Just joined your patreon page to support your work!!!
I am having trouble finding a solar panel rail system to install on my barn roof. I did find a picture ( below) on Will's website of what I am looking for, but it's roof rack of a car. LOL
Requirements:
- mounting 2 solar panels ( 36" x 26" each ) on a barn roof. Portrait layout.
- Solar panels: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B018BOK9WU/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
- I live in Maryland, so we do get snow.
- The barn roof is at a 30 degree angle facing south.
- My barn roof is tin, but it is not standing seam, so it doesn't have anything to clip to .
- Example of my barn roof : https://www.bylerbarns.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/Metal-roof.jpg
- My idea was to use two rails to attach the solar panels to, and the feet of the rails would screw through the tin roof into the rafters.
- I am up for other ideas as well, thanks solar_mike
thanks, solar_mike
