Battery Breakers, which way around?

As breakers are bi directional, which way do I wire them up?

I have a feeling that the top of the breaker, protects what is behind it.
So inverter to the top of the big breaker. Also battery to the top of the small breakers.

Or have I got this wrong?




The cabinet was not such a hot idea, as I lined it with highly flammable plastic.
I think I'll just put them on the wall.

Generally the largest potential is connected to the top.
Which is the battery.
