Battery charging 1% less with every recharge.

Ooh no it does not it also only have 7 cells. I then emailed Hubble as the casing looks the same and they also confirmed that the batteries only have 7 cells...
 
3.65 volts max lfp voltage * 7 cells = 25.55 volts.
That is absolutely dead full.
That would require perfectly balanced cells.
This does not happen in the real world.

Then my question still remains the same why does the % drop almost everytime we have loadshedding from 100% down to 89% in less than 3 weeks. I blamed the battery then got a new one and now it's doing the same

IMO you are focusing on the wrong thing.
Of all the lithium ion chemistries there are only 2 that are safe enough that I would have them in my house.
Those are LFP and LTO.
I don't think your have either of the safe ones.

IMHO, likely a design flaw in the BMS SoC algorithm.

Are you charging to 29V every day?
What are your charge termination criteria?
 
I asked Hubble if this battery is a LifePO4 and they confirmed that it is a life po4 battery they were not able to tell me why they only have 7 cells and not 8 as the guy said it goes against the company policy. So I still don't know why there's only 7 cells. He told my that my inverter is compatible with the battery and that I should use the Axpert type settings.
 
As others have said, I don't think these are LifePo, looks more like standard Lithium Ion and actually states that on the side label. Maybe polymer rather than Phosphate. I recommend you follow the advice from here and at least try to lower your voltage to see if they behave better etc.

That is a very strange company policy.

I suspect you have been ripped off.
 

Let's go through the specifications above:

Assumed fact: 7 cells in this battery because 7 cells are displayed.

Output voltage = 25V = nominal voltage
25V/7 = 3.57 = 3.60V rounded - 3.6-3.7 is a common nominal rating for NON-LFP cells.
Capacity: 2.64Wh/100ah
2600Wh/7 cell = 371Wh/cell
371Wh/cell/100Ah = 3.71V = nominal cell voltage of NON-LFP cells
Equalized voltage: 29V
29V/7 cells = 4.14V/cell = reasonable "full charge" voltage for NON-LFP cells
Float voltage: 28V
28V/7 = 4V/cell = A reasonable float voltage for NON-LFP cells.
Cutoff voltage: 22.5V
22.5V/7V = 3.21V = A very reasonable cutoff voltage for NON-LFP cells, notably too high for LFP cells.

ALL SPECIFICATION DATA FOR THIS BATTERY SCREAMS IT IS NOT BUILT FROM LFP CELLS. IT IS BUILT FROM NMV/NCA/LMO, etc., LITHIUM-ION CELLS.

THE PRODUCT IS MISLABLED.

THE MANUFACTURER IS LYING.

Critical question:

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO CHARGE FROM 3.65V TO 4.10V?
 
Hi yes I contacted the supplier that import these batteries to South Africa and he told me the battery needed an upgrade he did send me a link to upgrade it myself but I did not have the correct cables to connect the battery to my laptop.

The guy then offered to upgrade the software if I bring the battery in. Luckily his shop was only an hour drive from where I stay. He then also struggled to connect the battery to his laptop then offered me a new battery.

Got home installed the battery and it was on 100% at 26.5v my inverter settings was set to charge to 28.2v and so it did.

But now after a few loadsheddings the battery is doing the same.. It now idles at 89% and I'm sure with the next loadshedding it's going to ilde on 88% so I think it might be the inverter....

When I set the inverter to charge the battery to a higher voltage then you can see the battery charging again but after a few days the persentage drops again...

I have the same system and am experiencing the same issue as you. Reading through this thread resonates with exactly my experience of realising that the battery is not actually LiFePO4 as labelled. The other unresolved issue I have had is that the battery takes more than 5 hours to charge - when it should take no longer than 2 hours (as I have been advised by the installer and many other people I have reached out to help). And recently I have realised that it charges to 1% less with every recharge.

Please can you share the details of the supplier that imports these batteries. And if you managed to resolve this issue, would appreciate any guidance.
