Battery isolator

When fitting an isolation switch for the battery does it have to be as near ti the battery post as possible.







I have the positive lead going from the post to an anl fuse then to a busbar



does the isolator need to be sat between the post and fuse or fuse to busbar or does it not matter

You don't mention distance. The fuse should be as close to the battery as possible. The switch can be anywhere along the busbar to fuse path.

I have a switch but it isn't used much so it doesn't really need to be too convenient (its out near the battery). If the busbar area is cluttered, put it near the battery. Depending on your 1.5m run, there might be a nice spot in the middle.
