I've bought a few BigBattery products over the past few years and they have been solid and reliable. (Although granted, I did not seek tech support from them....)
A few months ago my email started receiving sale offers from Battery Evo that were full of "apparent" BigBattery products at massive discounts. They did a great job of passing themselves off as "the same company". But it seems they aren't.

Dear Valued Customer,We are writing to inform you about a data breach that occurred at BigBattery, Inc., and to provide you with the necessary details and actions we are taking in response for your protection. In July 2023, BigBattery experienced a security breach as a result of unauthorized access by a third party now identified as “BatteryEVO”. After a full investigation, the incident was traced to the owner of BatteryEVO (Xi Wang), operating out of a IT Asset Partners, Inc. battery recycling facility.
We want to assure you that protecting your data is our top priority, and we have upgraded to a more secure system to assure that this will never happen again. Although no payment processing information was accessible, we are sending you this email today with reason to believe that the information stolen could have included your name, email, phone number, and past products ordered from BigBattery. If you receive a call or email from BatteryEVO, Inc. please be aware that they have illegally acquired your contact information. We are pursuing both civil and criminal actions against BatteryEVO.com and GoITAP.com.

If you receive a call or email from BatteryEVO, Inc. or anyone selling BatteryEVO products; we advise you to inform the authorities linked below.
- BatteryEVO (and its subsidiaries) operate out of a battery recycling facility that accepts used, damaged and recalled batteries located at 8966 Mason Ave, Chatsworth CA. 91311. See for yourself here: https://rb.gy/kvxsn1
- BatteryEVO have openly stated that their batteries are “Manufactured from Overstock, Repurposed, and Surplus Cells.” on their website (Wayback Machine, March 2023).
- BatteryEVO customers are calling our company confused, requesting repairs and replacements for these counterfeit products.
- BatteryEVO is infringing on BigBattery's fair business rights, trademarks and trademarked product names in an effort to sell a copy-cat substandard product.
- BatteryEVO is intentionally deceiving customers with mis-information falsely claiming to be the manufacturer of BigBattery products.

If you have been sold a product from BatteryEVO.com under false pretenses, we advise you to report this crime above and seek the appropriate remedy from the seller.
