Building without permits

40k is cheap - our quote was close to 250k (for a SWER line)

At least some work gos into a sewer line , lots of digging
Really how much could a pole cost?
1000 bucks 1500? Drop it in a hole? Then they get to extort money every month.
I think it’s crazy , we would get power hook up for 4500 not to long ago .

I am sure the poles cost more now, but private contractor ‘line companies’ would put non-utility pokes in around here for $900 total, plus like $300 ‘equipment move.’
But they wouldn’t do powerco poles- they said the powerco has to do that. But sometimes the same company would show up for the $4000-$9000 per pole electrical utility installation.

Yes it is a racket
Never mind the ethics; do you know how long it takes for a lot of folks to save or pay off $20K? Just cover the Union benefits of the powerco I guess

Yep, things are way out of hand now.
Material just gos up and down 25 30% over nite .
it seams like it’s all Monopoly money now .
I’m sure all this nonsense is not going to end well
