It's probably on here but I can't find it.
I have EVE 3.2v 280ah 16s 48v battery bank, going to add more battery banks in the future.
My BMS has negative cable length of 24" from battery to BMS & 24" from BMS to bus bar.
Does the positive cable need to be the same length as the negative?
If yes, is it 24" or 48"?

No. You only have to start thinking about similar cable lengths when you start paralleling multiple batteries together.

When you add another battery in future in parallel it is preferred to use same length of cable as you used for the first one. People sometimes don't understand that the cable length for a battery is the total length of both positive and negative cables. For example, if your first battery has 5ft of negative cable and 3ft of positive cable your 2nd battery can have 2 feet of negative cable and 6 feet of positive and that would be considered equal to the first. I also don't think it is critical for parallel batteries to have equal cable lengths to begin with at least when using LiFePO4 batteries. One battery might see slightly more work but so what :)
