Hello all, newbie here with a question. I'm planning on building a system on board my boat and marine info is scarce my battery bank will (hopefully consist of 4 12v 460ah in series for 48v lifepo4) my question is how important is battery to battery cable length for series the reason i ask is don't have enough space for all to batteries to be directly side by side like i'd like for them to be. I don't think the difference in cable length will be more than 1 ft and am planning on uprising cables beyond needed for that reason. Input please?

Not a problem at that length as long as you use correct gauge wires.
Cables between batteries want to be at least the same guage as your main load/inverter cables , probably even bigger
