Charge vs. Float voltage: What if MPPT only has charge?

Ok, I'm striking out on google search.
What exactly is float voltage? Its slightly higher than 100% state of charge, but less than the charge voltage.
If my AMPINVT MPPT-60A only has a manual charge voltage (no float option) set at 28.4v, do I care for my 24v Lifepo4 battery?

Float voltage is the sustained voltage of the CC after other charging cycles have been completed.

That unit DOES have float in modes other than Li-ion.

If cycled daily, I would drop it to 28.0v and forget about it.

Great! The MPPT reads about .2v higher than my inverter/charger, with the voltmeter right in the middle. I'll drop it for longevity sake.
