I want to create some 2AWG cables with 175A Anderson Powerpole connectors on one end, marine grade 2AWG 3/8" ring lugs on the other.
I have a 10 ton hydraulic crimper with 35mm fittings, and have added 2AWG ring lugs to cables a bunch of times. While I have done 4AWG Anderson spade without trouble, I have never done the 2AWG spade lugs the 175A Anderson uses.
I 'think' that the Andersons should be like any other 2AWG or Anderson type lug I have done in the past, but I don't 'know' it for sure. Those spade lugs are expensive, and I would hate to split one finding out they are somehow different from ring lugs.
I would rather crimp than solder.
Has anyone crimped these lugs?
