I have the following pics of the DALY Smart Active Balancer
(Bluetooth and UART function)

But I don't know what type of balancer it is. And whether if it's a good one or not. So any electrical gurus please take a look at these pics.

My big question is whether to have it attached to battery pack permanently or not.

(I can change the Balance Start Voltage to 3.4V in Bluetooth. Also the V delta to as low as 20mV)

Once the cell are balanced I would remove the balance unit no need to take a chance on a possible issue with the unit causing a problem as long as you have good cells it should be fine

Yes, you can leave it connected.
Set the balance start at 3.4V - 3.45V and deviation to 20mV.

The only issue with Daly balancer is.......all cells need to reach the balance start voltage before it starts the active balancing operation.
Meaning if you have runner cell at 3.6V while the others are at 3.39V and setting the balance start voltage at 3.4V for example, the Daly balancer will not start the balancing operation.

I recently got aware of that problem. Is it a DALY only problem? What about JK?
