Disassemble MC4 connector to fit through roof gland

I have some BougeRV 2-1 solar Y-connectors that I'd like to pass through the BougeRV roof gland.

Anyone know how to disassemble a MC4 non-destructively? No cutting wire.

I have unsuccessfully looked for an extraction tool for MC4's, I don't think one is available. I ran across this YT video a while ago, haven't tried his method but it looks like it might work.
