Docan 12.8v 300AH batteries in series for 48v system?

Hey Everyone,

I have heard that some of the "readymade" 12v lifepo4 batteries do not perform well in a series configuration due to some issue with the BMS. Is there any truth to this?

I am considering putting 4 of the following in series for my 48v battery:

Does anyone have any experience with these?

What do you think about running them 4S for my bank?

What did Docan say? Batteries either can or can't depending on their BMS limits.

Getting a dedicated 48V is far preferable to 4S.

Looks like 16 cells and a BMS instead.

Exactly, 4S1P only means the cells combination.

I think that’s just describing the internals of the battery itself not the limitations of configuring a larger battery bank.

I’m sure their 48v 100ah prob states it’s a 16s/1p that doesn’t mean you can connect 16 48v rack batteries in series.
