In Will's installation video of the EG4 18Kpv inverter, I think he said to use 2/0 cable because the 4/0 was too big for the lugs. I found a trick that worked very well to make the 4/0 cables go into the Bat lugs with no problems! I stripped the insultation off the cable then put a zip tie around the wire strands to hold the strands tightly together. Once I got the strands all started in the lug, I held the cable in place and used a knife to cut the zip tie. I could then push the cable in to the lug the rest of the way and tighten the lug. This worked great and had no frayed strands!
