I know this forum has been filled with colorful feedback on the 6500.

I bought the kit - two 6500s and 30kwh Lifepower4 battery rack. System has been live with one 6500 for one month. Currently the second inverter is not used, just don't need the extra power or 240v split phase.

The system randomly shuts down every day for a split second at what appears to me to be random times daily.

I finally opened a ticket and took several pictures. Hopefully I won't get dinged for using SA.

Any advice is welcome.

I'll try to post some pictures from SA to illustrate the problem.

I have read some potential solutions are

Get refund
Get credit toward the 18pvk unit
Giving up

All solutions require varying degrees of frustration and hours lost.

Finally was able to upload some pics from SA showing the system shutting down. Screenshots are for a hour period (IIRC) from today.

It's really annoying to have to go turn back on the oven, air fryer, alarm clock, etc.

Option #2 wouldn’t require much time or frustration. But it would require spending more money.

Can you share your settings and firmware version?

Does it only seem to happen during the day when PV is being captured?

I believe I have the most current firmware from a few weeks back.

Like most, I have to go to work so I don't get a chance to really pay attention except for weekends. I have not had a chance to download the data from SA, but I have watched your videos Adam and IIRC, you mentioned mppt2 may be the culprit

Also, it's hard to trouble shoot when I can't shut down the house.

Doesn't look like you have AC-In. It also looks like you have plenty of voltage on PV2.

It's unfortunate that SA doesn't show any error messages/codes. You might have to set up one of the other apps to be able to view the alarm notices. The easiest would probably be the EG4 EX app. It's new, and still buggy, but it's better than WatchPower and should still give you any alarms.

That was too obvious. I was scrolling through the menus.

My two PV arrays are

Current mppt 1. 2p18s
Currently mppt2. 2p12s

Voc 24c
Isc 8.8a
Operating volt is 20v

10kw is total array
Best solar day ever in Sept is 20kwh
I have lots of shade / trees in the way

There are no other alarms. I checked for prior days and there at usually 3 PV loss alerts from what I can see

Every time mine would do something similar, it would fallback to grid. It was really annoying, but I never had to reset all the clocks in the house.

I went back 3 weeks in the alerts for watch power. This is the only other error that I saw. Everything else was a PV loss alert.

The random shutdowns happen everyday. It's probably not good to say, but I'm used to of them. I am being lazy and don't want to download the data dump to analyze when it occurs. It would just get me more worked up.

Been dreading the call to SS support. Finally made the call this past Friday, and was on hold for 40 minutes and got hung up on . Then called back and was on hold another 30 minutes but was able to react fast enough to get their attention before getting hung up again
