You need to use the EG4 provided software and the correct communications cable to "talk" to the battery. The BMS holds a lot of information including what is causing the "Alarm" light to be on. Find out what that cause is before you open the battery. You will have these batteries for hopefully ten years or more and the software is an important part of ensuring you get at least ten years of use out of the batteries.
