Envision 305ah 24v DIY Build

Hi All,

This will be my first DIY build and I am trying to build as cheap as possible if possible.

Here is the Battery I am looking to order and here is the BMS I am looking to pair with it. Considering cost will these be okay.

Can anyone recommend any DIY case to fit the battery into, I have a question regarding 305 batteries, do they all expand and would packing them tightly be an issue.?

I don't have a specific case in mind - anything pretty much goes as long as the cells fit. You can DIY your own box even.

Cells shouldn't 'expand' in the sense that they bloat. They have a few mm at most, and putting them tightly together is not an issue. Manufactures such as EVE even recommend putting them in a fixture.

I packed mine in this scrap wood frame, just held together with a few screws but very sturdy since the battery is about 100lbs. I charge it up to 28.2V and there hasn't been any noticeable expansion at full charge. (Envision 305s)

I added a 3/4" plywood top so I could stack a second layer on top later this week.
