Extension Lead From a 3000w Pure Sine Wave Inverter

Not really experimented at the moment but is it possible to run a extension lead from a 3000W pure sine wave inverter or do I need a special type of lead with some sort of booster in line any advice would be very much appreciated .

Is this 120 volts? Need #10 wire hardwired. If the inverter has a 5-15 or 5-20 connector and same for the load then an extension cord is fine if it has #12 wire. I would not go over 100' without some additional details.

it was just for working basic 240 volt tools like drills grinders and that sort of equipment this would be about 20 to 30 yards away from the inverter

240 for single tools is no issue to use a standard extension cord.

I run a 20m lead regularly for power tools up to 2000w (from a 3000w inverter).
