[SOLVED] Growatt SPF5000ES USB B port not working (?)

OK Thank you 3clypse for the help.

1) I tried PVKeeper on windows and it did not read any value. the drop down menu shows two port COM4 and COM6. If I choose com4 nothing happens but when I choose com6 the software gets stuck. I need to kill it and restart it. In windows ==> device manager, I can see the new port COM6 being added when I plug the cable from the inverter.

2) I have tried several cables and in linux I can find the USB port connected and in Windows I can hear a little notification sound indicating that a new peripheral has been added as COM6.

I think cable is not the issue and inverters are not damaged either as the likelihood of problems on two of them seem very slim. Instead I believe the inverters are comunicating via the dongle and data are not transferred to the USB-B port at all. I believe this is done via some configuration either on the ivnerters or in somewhere in the comunication board (my guess the dip switch but I don't know).
