I have noticed an issue with a recent solar install, I have a 12 panel array (PV2) at the back and a further 3 panels to the front (PV1). The 3 panel array provides around 112v (from 7am to 3:30pm) as I can see on the app (PV1 voltage) but never shows any generation (PPV1).
Note PV2 shows both voltage and PPV2 generation values.
When I’ve looked into this the maximum voltage from a JA410 panel is 38.28v so in theory 114.84v is possible. So no problems so far. However I have since found out that the inverter needs a minimum of 150v to operate.
So is this value 150v per MPP or total? As PV2 seems to be online and generating wile PV1 only ever shows voltage in the app.
Also should STC or NOCT voltage values be used for string sizing?
