I have posted several times in threads about using solar to heat pipes and batteries during the winter so I figured I would post a screenshot of the setup in action so to speak.

This was pic was taken this morning at 6:48am with the outside temperature at 35 degrees and the wind blowing about from 0 to 5 mph. The pipe section this heater is on is fully exposed to the wind and being heated by two of the pads I use normally for heating my batteries.

The small light on the top left of the display on the left means the pads are "on" and currently at 51.8F. They turned on at 50F degrees and will stay on till it reaches 55F and then turn off till it reaches 50 again. The 4.30a showing being used right then includes several security cameras, my pi computers, a 1000 watt inverter powering my tool battery chargers, plus the heating pads. The pads pull about 20 watts between the two of them while running.
