Hi all "electrified" users here hehe.

Been doodling with home plans on and off for quite a while then just when I thought I would finally start putting it onto good papers I kinda shelved that together with nearly everything else when March 2020 happened.

Anyway, hoping to figure out new things from this forum in the next awhile :)

Welcome!
Lots of good info here, and a chance to ask questions and post your projects.

Just registered here as well. Southern Ontario Canada.
We have a classic 1977 GMC motorhome with 150W solar and a Samlex EVO-1212 inverter/charger/solar. Waiting on delivery of LiFePO4 batteries.

@ruralsimple and @RF_Burns, welcome to the forum.

RF, my dad has the same motorhome. He's been trying to get it on the road for two years. Not the best RV for it to be someone's first RV. Sounds like you have much better luck with yours.

Welcome!
And you guys with the gmc’s... remember, it is fairly simple to swap out the 455 to a 6.5turbo diesel...

Jim,
Like any older vehicle, they require maintenance. Once you change everything made of rubber and have good brakes and drivetrain, they are pretty reliable and simple to fix.

I think this thread is swaying away from the welcome message the OP started.
We need to stay on target.

Hey, it was a moderator that started talking about engine swaps!

Maybe someone can restart the RV discussion on the show and tell forum? This forum doesn’t have a vehicle discussion area, but maybe include house power in the discussion?
they are such cool vehicles... like an airstream with an engine!

I can move all the rv posts there once someone starts the thread.
