Hello, I really need some help please....
I'd like to be able to keep my existing Inergy EC8 cables that currently run from my van roof, to my Flex 1500 to charge my Bluetti AC180. I have 2x 200 w panels with a VOC of 21.86, in series. The cable that runs to my Flex is 12awg with MC4 connections at the panels, and an EC8 connection at the end to go into the flex.

The AC180 input is a 12v 8mm plug, with MC4 connectors and 16awg wire.
Inergy makes an adapter cable but with the reverse connector, so I cant use it. Its what they call the "Male" side of the connector, but when I try to search it... it always comes up "female". I need a male. - (Inergy confused the heck outta me and sent me a cable I cant use).
The connection I need, is the same connector side as what is on the Flex itself.

Can I use a 12awg wire from the panels to the adapter, which is 16awg? I'd like to wire a Male EC8 connector to the 8mm 12v plug to the AC180 (16awg) so I can charge from solar. I'm not even sure if Im posing the question properly.... I was unable to find anything via the search bar here.

I got Bluetti ac180 and I got 2 x 200w portable solar I want to link in series. They are 12AWG wires with it. They have an adapter so I can link that onto the bluettiDC7909 input.

Can I do that?

Or do I need to put it into the 16AWG adapter that came with the Bluetti?
