I bought an Orion BMS 2 to improve safety of my tesla battery modules. The sense wires and Current Sensor/Thermistors make perfect sense to me.
However, the Main I/O Connector is a steaming hot mess. I think I can just connect it like so:
"Ground"(pin #12) to negative 24v battery terminal
"Ready Power"(pin #2) to positive 24v battery terminal.
"CAN1_L"(pin #19) to pin #5 on DB9 connector
"CAN1_H"(pin #18) to pin #3 on DB9 connector
Then the remaining 22 pins can stay disconnected, right? It isn't clear why the cable doesn't come pre-connected to a DB9 connector?
