JBD-AP20S003 reporting too many cells

I have a new JBD-AP20S003 BMS (7S-20S) connected to 16 new LiFePO4 batteries for a 48volt system.
The BMS App is reporting 18 cells instead of 16.
The BMS App reports the first 15 cells have nominal voltage of 3.3 volts, similar to what my multi-meter reports.
The BMS App reports the 16th cell as 2.7 volts, but my multi-meter reports 3.3
The BMS App reports the phantom 17th and 18th cells as 0 and 0.3 volts respectively.
Troubleshooting steps so far.
Ensured all of the nuts are tight on the batteries.
Verified that the wires are all connected correctly.
Verified that the last 4 unused balance leads are not open.
Anything else someone can recommend?

Did you wire it in accordance with the balance wire diagram for your specific model ?

I have it working correctly now. I misinterpreted the wiring instructions.

Glad you are sorted. I also had to contact JBD for the wiring diagram on my 20S 200A model. For some reason it was never included in the original packaging.

Mine had nothing in the package also. BUT Amy did email me the docs I needed when I ordered it.
