Ok. I am totally dense on this. I did ask someone how to remove the extra wire leads. They quickly responded but I am hitting a mental brick wall. It was suggested to use a small sharp object to move the small finger which held the wire. Alas, I confess I have not had any success and want to make sure I don't damage anything. Any suggestions?

With the notch in the backside, it might be released from the rear. Usually a plastic tab sticks out.
 
Overkill/JBD is the same type of terminal, I just looked at one on the bench.
 
Thank you everyone! OK, so I picked up some of these dental tools. Here is the one I used.
