JK inverter bms and growatt sph 4000 connection problem

I use the new JK bms on my diy battery in combination with a Growatt sph 4000.
If I set the bms to the growatt protocol, the inverter charges the battery with intermitting amps, fro 00 to 10A within 1 or 2 seconds.
If I set the protocol to Pylontech, the charge is no problem, but the inverter does not increase the SOC. When the battery is fully charged and I set the protocol back to Growatt, the SOC is back to 100%. The next day then the charging is a problem again and I have to put it back to Pylontech to get it charged.
The firmware on the BMS was 15.17, but I downgraded to 15.11 to see if the problem was solved, but it was not. Maybe there is someone who knows a solution for this problem.

Don't have a Growatt but an SMA SI5048 and the JK PB BMS running 15.17. It works with Deye, Goodwe, Pylontech and SMA (called FSS connectiongbat etc) canbus. So as pylontech is based on SMA and simplified and Deye and Goodwe are based on Pylontech you have some other options to try. I have ended on SMA as it has a high resolution SOC to 0.01V instead of 0.1V (but then rounded to nearest 1V).

that is just the tip of an iceberg cause how is your real world setup ?

What cells, what JK settings, what growatt inverter settings and what about your smartmeter ?

I have a similiar experience during the night when I need AC charging but without a smart meter and a 15 kWh EVE battery in an EEL Box without display incl. 200 A JK inverter BMS aka PB Series.

And then in this particular case it all depends when and what, I mean the time, the amount of solar coming in and the amount of loads and your settings.

During daylight my solar system will switch the behaviour and be able to charge with 3000 W over hours the battery.

If you still face issues during daylight then you first need to make sure what mode the system is in aka datasources

Battery first is for charging and a must.
But that is not all. You also need to make sure other points in this case without a smartmeter:
#1 Set active power rate to 0%
#2 Export Limit should be turned off

If you are running active power 20% then 20% of the inverter nominal output will be gone first and not available for charging
If you want faster charging then limit that to 0%
Then the growatt inverter should charge up to 3000 W constant power if the solar array is delivering that.

UPDATE: the things are changing a bit once you add a smartmeter like the Eastron SDM630 or similiar which will deliver those date the SPH needs to generate from the battery and panels what your loads need in that moment. I have added mine yesterday and some things have already changed a bit. Therefore I had written before "without a smartmeter". Right now I have mine installed and I need to wait for more result to update the comment.

After smartmeter installation i can agree that the inverter and JK BMS are jumping around with the charging within seconds from 0 to whatever (a few hundred W up to 2500W and back to 0 again within a few steps like 0 - 355 - 677- 1233 - 2154 - 788 - 0 W

It happens all the time, seplos has a function to disable "intermittent Charging Function".

Anyone found a solution? I have the exact same problem.
I talked to a guy that had an older firmware on his Growatt SPH3600 but after firmware update it started this same problem, so hopefully a downgrade in firmware on SPH will resolve this issue?
