In my experience fast. It's just a chemical reaction. The more reactive the chemical to quicker it will happen. I'm not advising this but take some CLR and destroy your kitchen sinks finish. Won't take long.
Watch some restoration videos. Acid bath with/without a current and you can strip rust. Iron based hand warmers you buy at the store start almost instantly.
Soo, this battery had been mucked around with in several videos. Is there any chance it wasn't the manufacturer that damaged the cells? The cells have air in them. You live in the desert. Gas expansion. Is it really reasonable that every single cell is tested? Did anyone even know this could be a thing to test because it could cause and issue? It wouldn't be except this one configuration where the vent is side mounted. Who knew this end up was required here. Maybe this level of testing is required, I'm not the one to answer that. But I do like low prices and warranties for NONTOXIC items. EVERYTHING cost money. Testing COSTS money. How about the 11 in a million that fail, they just have you send it back for a brand spanking new one. I will hope mine fails 2 or 3 years into service. NEW ONE! BOOYA. And you don't have to pay hundreds extra for a bunch of tests that don't help anything.
I worked with rail industry for a time and tankers seem pretty simple right. One in thousands or millions of times something crazy/super normal happens and you break a giant piece of steel and it tosses that wheel.... up through a tanker. That tanker is full of oil. That detonates. We almost have to produce a nuclear bomb proof tanker to keep this from happening. Then you think... maybe this wouldn't be a problem if you just pumped oil in a pipe of keystone. We spend so much time and effort solving problems of things that are just bad solutions to a problem in the first place.
Some people on here have seemingly have had a pretty cushy and domesticated existence. They expect the lights to turn on and water to run. Try making sure all those systems run 24/7 365 for yourself. If you've ever worked in heavy industry or in an agricultural operation where you tend your machines all year long trying to assure they can run continuously for a few days/months to harvest. You quickly learn how everything breaks down. Getting up at 3AM to fix a water pump in a muddy cellar halfway across your farm covered in snow drifts, you start to appreciate everything has tolerances, and things break at the worst time.
Only too about one minute to research.
So much drama. Hopefully you can completely destroy a good company with hysteria. All this non-sense about PPE and the toxicity. Everything is toxic. Your 90+ water, yet if you drink a couple gallons in an hour your electrolyte levels will imbalance and your nervous system turns off. I need my nerves but some seem to operate without the brain part.
Petulant children want to have big ideas about how everything runs and operates. We should have an island to allow them all to run the utilities for a few months, and at the end let them see if they want to come back to civilization. Go ahead and set your own bed time and eat ice-cream for dinner. Let's see how it goes.
Side thought but its relevant
Renewables can only be utilized about 20/30ish% percent and it becomes exponentially harder to add more. Renewables are noisy destructive power. Most of the home generation doesn't get stored or used. It just gets burned up on the line in attenuation. Wind farms get into harmonics and literally blow up substations. The math to detect or design around this with thousands of rotating harmonic masses is Ph.D. level math. They build solar farms and forget to put in the transmission lines. Solar power is basically stealing money from your neighbor. So I don't get blasted, I'm building a solar system now for an rv type rig. It's engineering. Renewables are not for base load and grid backfeed. Without a 10 Trillion dollar smart grid on purchase not maintenance and upkeep. We can take your check for the year just to make that, but I'd like to keep my check. I like to eat food. Weird right.

Research LFTR Thorium. We would actually have the ability to remove carbon, not just fake say we did. The air would be a giant transport mechanism for carbon. You can manufacture clean, Co2 neutral petrol chemical any place on earth. There is now ample evidence that the the giant trees and plants and critters in the fossil record lived in a much much much higher C02 environment and thrived way better than today. I think we have all been sold a false bag of goods. But this is wrong think and no one is allowed to say it. The ice caps are freezing up now at unprecedented rates and we are entering a solar minimum and small ice age. Also more wrong think, despite the European Space Agency being on record saying CO2 isn't an issue, it's really the solar cycle. Think about it. A small tilt in our orientation causes seasons. A small wobble in our elliptical path around the sun causes hotter or colder years. Think of the sun like a component in your system design. What if the sun didn't output exactly at 100% capacity all the time with 0% fluctuation. The sun is sometimes a 60Watt bulb and other times 100Watt bulb.
