Light switch

I have been looking for 12 volt light switches for my solar lighting circuit's, but they are either small version's of regular light switche's. You can find toggle, rocker, wall switch and remote switche's...the wall and remote switche's measure approximately 1 5/8×2 5/8 or similar size. Can regular light switche's be used since their only purpose is to complete or break an electrical circuit?

I would think yes and save about $8 a switch. There's probably a reason to not use them. If low watts and short distance I would go for it wrong or right unless you're on a boat.

I will test the situation out with a special circuit just for testing a regular light switch out!

You need DC rated switches for DC circuits.
