LOL I am sure there could be various reasons for the difference in the production,
I am happy with the CS 440's, and they are doing their job every day.
I figured better to go with new panels, good for 25 years, that way I should expire before they do likely...!?

There are others also, in Quebec and in the West.
I recall Heline has plants in Canada and in USA also, it is not just in Asia that PV units are made.
Some are just assembled in N.America while others also make the components locally. It seems the supply chain/ports issues and rising costs of overseas shipping have provided good reasons for these large, somewhat fragile, kinda heavy products to be made closer to where they are used worldwide.
