Isn’t that always the case?but I just learned that my wife's chicken coup is going to be much much larger than I was anticipating.
Yea “ Group buys” haven’t exactly gone well on here.Anybody interested in used panels?
Group buys are somewhat frowned upon here on the forum.
Be absolutely certain everybody agrees on costs, puckups, etc. No one guy buying with markup... and reshipping to others. Everybody is responsible for their own order.
Might even be best to arrange with the actual seller the entire group buy.
I am near charlotte, and have a few dozen used 240W panels if ya wanna play around.I've been talking to a guy on facebook marketplace out of Shelby that does installs and sells panels. He's trying to sell me some ground mounts and new 550 watt bifacial panels. It's probably a good option for me, but I just learned that my wife's chicken coup is going to be much much larger than I was anticipating. I'll have plenty of room to roof mount some solar on there, but the ground mount option is non-viable. Can't place panels in the shade of a chicken mansion.
I see a lot of businesses on various online forums, but I've not found much in the way of a place I can go pick stuff up in a truck. This guy in Shelby and a random guy over near Asheville are the only WNC locations I've seen where I could go pickup used/new panels.
I'm personally hoping to locate some used panels as cheap as I can get them to get my feet wet. Getting my money back out of them would be great, but it's secondary to making all the mistakes I'm inevitably going to make as cheaply as possible.
Yeah, I'm probably interested. I'll reach out later this week if that's alright.I am near charlotte, and have a few dozen used 240W panels if ya wanna play around.
Maybe not exactly "close", but not terribly far away. I wanted to do the same, buy some used, uber-cheap panels to learn on, especially since I have a ton of shade and no real useable solar space. I found an e-waste wholesaler near me, just North of Atlanta. I bought 18 240w panels for $20each. I recently got an email from them trying to get rid of the rest of the supply, a few hundred, for $10ea.I've been talking to a guy on facebook marketplace out of Shelby that does installs and sells panels. I just rented a $20 pickup from home depot, ran by, they loaded the pallet onto the truck, and I was off.
If you want the company info, let me know. Not sure they'll have the same panels, but they had a few options when I was looking.
Still on my todo list. Long story short I'm about a week into recovering from having 2 wisdom teeth removed so I've had to put a lot of things off for a while.Im in Mt Holly, i have 50 to 60 panels sitting...

So I’m trying to find emergency dental services in a town I’m not familiar with.
Finally find a guy in Chinatown to take me after 4 hours .
Get there, he does the procedure, sews me back up and I go back to work. Had a deadline.
I’m trying to finish the job but jaw is just killing me and bleeding.
Replacing Gauze, chewing aspirin like it’s cool.
A week later I fly home still in a lot of pain, Still bleeding ,call my oral surgeon.
Went in there and he opened it back up.
He pulls out a 1 inch piece of bone and says “ Yup there’s your problem “
He had broken the jawbone and just sewed it back up.
I had him take out the other top wisdom that day.
The bottoms are impacted and he said he wouldn’t touch them unless he had too.
