Modifying Existing Solar

I just want to verify something before I get started. Two questions to get me started:

I need to first understand what kind of existing panels I have their output voltage, and how many, correct?

Then I need to understand my existing inverter and how the panels are wired up to it?

My end goal is to leverage the existing panels. Replace the inverter with one that can bypass the grid and can feed off a battery bank. The goal is to get my entire house covered by solar w/ storage. I live in a very high solar area of Arizona.

And other thing to consider is what if any modules are at any panels, rapid shutdown, optimizer, micro inverters, these may need to be replaced if you replace your inverter.

One other option to consider is AC coupling your existing solar inverter in to a new storage inverter. This can avoid changes to your existing solar setup, and get the advantage of having battery storage.
