Trying to get the settings right on my growatt spf 6000r dvm. I'm using 32 280ah lifepo4 cells configured in a 2p16s. ( diagram below)

Right now I'm charging my bank off generator due to my solar going hay wire.
On my growatt I have a bulk setting and a float setting. (I'll also include screen shots of my manual below).

Now when I charged the pack today. It charged clear up to 56.9 were I manually shut it off. Considering I have bulk set to 56.4vac to shut off and float set to 54 vdc.
Why did it keep going past my setting?
What did I do wrong?

Here's a list of my equipment:
* 32 keheng 280ah in a 2p16s single pack.
* Daly 250amp smart bms
* Growatt spf 6000t dvm

As always thankyou guys. Trying to get things nailed down.

Growatt AC charger does not use the bulk/float settings.

Check setting 13.

Utility/Generator Charger tips:
The generator charger is a different beast to the solar charger. (Does not utilize the Bulk and Float Charge settings)
It works on a float valve type principle. (triggers when battery voltage drops below that on setting 12 – set the voltage higher than current battery voltage to start charging right away)
Stops charging from Generator when setting 13′ s voltage is reached
Will not start charging the battery again until it drops below battery voltage – in setting 12.
Setting 01 set to SBU to activate setting 12 and 13.
Setting 02, is the Max charging current from Solar + Utility/Generator
Setting 11, is the Maximum Generator/Utility charging current @ your battery voltage (not at 120V)
Setting 14, make sure this setting includes the option to charge from utility/generator (see manual)
Note, setting Setting 11 too high for your generator may cause your generator to falter at startup, and cause the Inverter Charger to lose synchronization with the Generator (58 to 63Hz), if in doubt start small, and work your way up.

I seen that but it made no sense to me. I'll change from utility to sbu and see how that works.

It's set to 54. Not I'm setup 1 to sbu

If that's the case, the generator shouldn't be charging above 54V.

Just wondering what's the common amp people use on these 280ah lifepo4 cells setup like mine?

If you're asking about charging amps, that would be the LESSER of the BMS charge limit and the Cell charge limit with a little wiggle room. Check your specs, but generally speaking:

DALY tends to have a 50% charge limit vs. discharge, so 125A in your case.
Most cells are 0.5C charge max, so 280A (140A * 2 since you have 2P cells) in your case.

Many believe that BMS should not be run at their max, so 100A is probably a good place to start.

Setting 1 was set to utility. So I changed it to sbu so that should activate settings 12 and 13. That were not activated before.
This inverter will only charge at 60 off a generator. But my spf12000tdvm mpv will hit 180amps with solar assistance and 100amps on the generator alone.
Thankyou for your help. I knew I had to be over looking something. I just couldn't put my finger on it.
