The old SLA batteries for my lawn died.
I had these Li-NMC batteries sitting around,
They almost fit but were 1 inch to wide to lay flat.
I turned 'em sideways.
Is it OK?
or will the electrolyte shift?
TIA

Most prismatics have a vent at the top. If you smell Ether then some has escaped. The manufacturer should be able to tell you if those batteries can be on their side. It looks like the botton of the case is gone and one of the cells is twisted and that is not good. The terminal could be getting stressed which might be worse than leaking electrolyte leaking if one of those breaks. Also I assume those are test wires and you are going increase the size to reflect the current it takes to run that?
