Overkill BMS downside?

I am starting with the journey of getting equipment for my future solar grid. For the moment I am just playing with 7S configuration of 21700 but soon i will start with LifePo4. However, I am getting a 7S Smart BMS 250A for a 7S7P setup. I know is very overkill but I am thinking using this in a bigger setup later.

Now having that said. Using a heavy duty BMS in a small battery pack has any downside or problems? I am just practicing with small stuff before go for real.

When you say "overkill" I was thinking "overkill solar"...

I can't think of a downside besides maybe physical size?

That is what I was hopping to read. I am trying to buy leaving much space for upgrade in the future.
