I'm new and have been gathering parts for the last year for an off grid set up. From the top, I have 10 used Solarworld 240w panels. These need to connect to a Victron 150/85 charge controller. My understanding was that this unit can take all 10 panels in a 5s2p configuration. I'm over my head a bit on how I should connect these two systems. Should I be looking for a combiner box to hook the two strings together then take the wires from the box to my Victron SCC? Should I have a suitable shut off/fuse/breaker DC rated for proper amps at the top of the combiner box for each of the two strings?

The panel Voc is 37.6.
5 x37.6 = 188 volts.
The Victron maxinum input volts is 150.
Thus you cannot use two strings.
