Phocos Hybrid Inverter crazy Power Factor !?

Hi,

I've just bought a new Phocos B series 3kW hybrid inverter to replace my MPPSolar 2.4kW.
I run a constant load of 400 watts during the day.

In the house I have the Owl watt meter connected at the main entry point of the grid supply
and it uses current clamps to do the measurement.

When the batteries are depleted during the afternoon, the inverter switches to grid to
power the loads. Then I notice the Owl showing a higher power consumption than normal..
When I switch off the inverter loads completely, the Owl is showing 200 watts more than normal.
Then I put a mains socket power meter at the socket where the inverter is connected and it
was showing around 10 watts instead of 200 watts, but with a Power Factor of 0.05 !
When the loads where switched on again, the power factor measured again at the point
of the inverter was 0.5 to 0.6. Even this is pretty bad. That never happened with the MPPSolar.

But 0.05 power factor with no loads? Do you know why this might be happening?
Is there a way to correct that?
What is the impact of the 'extra' 200 watts that the Owl power meter is showing?

Thank you.
