This email is to give a serious warning to all users that are planning to buy SAJ inverters.

I recently acquired a SAJ inverter (SAJ R5 SERIES 5000W 2 MPPT) despite all the bad app reviews.

While it seems to function properly, the monitoring both on app or computer are horrible:
The app shows wrong data; first day the inverter was connected it already had a consumption 90kWh registered.
The app shows wrong data because it is not properly updated; PV output starts at different times, today at 11h for instance while sun shines at 9h already.
Data disappears; often the app is showing 0W in all values.
Data update frequency is super poor; it updates once every 70 minutes and the last 2-3 hours are lacking.
Data update stops too early; an hour before sun disappears is the most data I can see. I neither see the PV ouput going down smoothly, all I see is a sharp decrease.
There is not even a proper consumption profile displayed on the app.
The app layout wants to be complete but it ends up being confusing, full of wrong and confusing data.
They claim have worked on this for years and nothing, so don't expect a solution soon.
If you are looking for proper monitoring because you want to profit from your installation proactively, DO NOT BUY AN INVERTER FROM SAJ.
The one I have seen working the best for monitoring is Solaredge. I expect Victron does probably similar.
