Score at the Dump!

Ive got a bunch of those but mine are enclosed on all sides with a glass door on the front and air conditioned.
The ones I actively use have computers in them (servers) but rest I use for storage of tools and such. I'm thinking about putting batteries in some of them.
Basically all of them came from where my stepdad worked which was NCR. They phases them out over the years so it was dumpster diving from the companies trash piles.
You wouldn't believe the stuff that company throws away. We even scored an entire mainframe once from a bank that did an upgrade and sold it to another company for a nice profit. I'm rambling but all of this reminded me of learning how bad a 1/2 ton pickup frame flexes with a mainframe in the bed. The bed would hit the cab whenever there were dips in the highway

There are places that sell used Telecome & Server racks & enclosures and they can be had for Really Cheap !
