Shading and Serial vs Parallel with modern solar panels with MPPT controllers.

How would you have excess production if the panels were covered in snow? When my panels were snow covered (all of February 2 years ago) my production was 0. A really big battery maybe ?
Always have excess production. If the panels are clear. So, what is used to clear them. Will be made back easily.

Tilting works fine at an old mountain cabin area in Idaho (no electricity, but landlines since the 50's). Plus the PVs are 3' to 5" off the ground. Many are also located on slopes with less snow accumulation.

So on the subject of back feeding.
I have Solarworld 320s in 3S3P to each MPPT. During the winter we have heavy frost in the morning. As the sun comes up, 3 to 5 random 6”x6” cells completely thaw 10 to 20 minutes before the others. Never more than one cell in a panel. 18 panels usually 3 cells total, but not always the same ones. It’s not a shading thing, that time in the morning sun is moving inches per minute across the ground. This is just after the SCCs have turned on and have stopped kicking in and out.
Does anyone have a electrical theory that could explain it?
