Hi!

I’d like to have a small setup on my balcony which can power a few things like television and radio and such.
I’m wondering what precautions I need to take when the equipment shares wiring with the grid in the apartment.

For example:
If I the television draws power from the solar setup and at the same time is connected to my laptop via a hdmi cable - which in turn is drawing power from the grid - I suppose they will have to share a common ground? And if so, what is the best way to do that?

I’d like to avoid getting shocks or damaging equipment when connecting the things together.

If what I’m writing doesn’t make sense I can also try to draw a simple schematic if that helps.

Thanks for any suggestions and tips!

Do you have a way of getting a wire from your solar system to a household outlet? If so, just get a plug head, connect the ground wire only, connect to the ground points on the solar system, and plug into wall. That will connect all the solar components to your household ground.
