I see no downside to being nitpicky and getting exactly what you want. But I will say that in my career as an auto tech it's rare that it need to simultaneously know 2 digits on BOTH sides of the decimal place.. I.e. if i am looking at whole numbers then 1 decimal place is usually good enough, and if i am looking at the hundredths of volts or millivolts, i usually am looking at a number far below 1v in the first place.
But i want what i want and it's my money and i'm gonna damn well get what i want, and my opinion on THAT is stronger than it is about a few hundredths of a volt. So im with you.
That calibrations feature is a handy little 'hack' if it works out.
