Hi,

I'm a bit confused about if multiple charges need to be coordinated (e.g., solar, shore, generator)

Looks like there are a number of approaches from different companies and in different wiring diagrams:
1) The Samlex inverter/chargers looks like they want you to run the output of the solar charger through their box (e.g., EVO-4024E)
2) The Victron looks like they might be linked through control cables?
3) Or can you treat the shore charger and the solar charger as independent and then program them with the same or staggered setpoints?

Are these the different options? Any thoughts on the pros/cons?

Thanks

if you want a good power management you probably will better pass trough one box.
else you will have to "guess" some information, by looking for example at the SOC of the battery and we all know how
bad this could be.

Thanks! Not sure I follow.

Are you saying a) regardless of approach you need some form of state-of-charge monitor, b) that really you need go with option 1) or, c) something else?

Thanks again
