solis cable, between inverter and energy meter

Hello,

I have a SOLIS RHI 5K 48es 5G HYBRID inverter, for this I am looking for an RS485 meter com cable, preferably in Europe. Anyone have an idea where I can buy these?

Just RJ45 Cat5e / Cat6 cable is good. Physical connection is using the green+green-white twisted pair of RJ45. Green is RS485A, Green-white is RS485B connection.

Ah - OK - not sure what the physical plug into the Solis is, sorry, but green / green-white pair goes in there with RJ45 into the Acrel meter at the other end.

That lead should have come with your Solis.

The green / green-white wire pair wrapped round a matchstick each would probably get you going in the meantime

Yes, exactly. But it looks like you haven't connected mains power to the Acrel - the run light is not on and I see nothing on the screen. When connected correctly the 'COM' LED should flash once a second when the Solis queries the Acrel meter.

I put a Breaker in between, and when I turn it on, it keeps saying MET com Fail,

In the 3rd photo you can see that they use pins 5 and 6

Pins 5 and 6 on that diagram are for the DRM switch. Nothing to do with the meter connection.

These are the meter pinouts. It doesn't give the RJ45 connections though

the White-brown and brown combination does not work either, at pins 7 and 8

My Acrel is green + green-white, as mentioned. Double check the meter slave ID number and baud rate.

Yes ! see pic

I don't see it flashing in the pic ... or even on.
