So I currently have a (failed) Renogy 60A DC-DC in my RV, that I'm replacing with a pair of the new Victron Orion XS 50A DC-DC chargers. The current Renogy is fed by 2AWG from my truck. The Victrons will only take in a max wire size of 4AWG. What's the best way or splitting the 2AWG into a pair of 4AWG, and protecting the wires as well? By best I mean most cost and space efficient, as well as safe of course. Space is a concern because all of the equipment is mounted under the bed in our trailer, so there's not a lot of extra room available. I've found some 1-in 3-out MRBF fuse blocks from BlueSea, and a 1-in 2-out MANL fuse block from T-Spec, but I have everything else protected by breakers and I really prefer consistency, not to mention I hate having to carry even more spare fuses. I've been unable to find any 1-in 2-out DC breaker setups.
Thoughts?
